Michael D. Palmer, CSP

Mike is a Principal with EnSafe, Inc. and served as the former Vice President of EnSafe’s Health and Safety Services Group for 13 years.  He has 40 years of experience providing technical consultation in the areas of safety management systems, machine guarding, confined spaces, industrial safety, construction safety, process safety management, industrial hygiene, and training.  Mike specializes in the design and implementation of corporate and site strategies that are focused on active and demonstrated employee engaged safety initiatives purposed on taking an employer’s safety management system to the next level.

Mike has a BS from Eastern Kentucky University in Industrial Risk Management and an MPH in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Tennessee.  He retains professional certifications and registrations as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and Certified Safety Professional (CSP).

Mike is active on AIHA and NFPA volunteer and standards committees, routinely provides consultation as an expert witness, has been published in several professional safety and health journals and periodicals, and is currently serving on the Tennessee OSHA Review Commission.
