Jason Kunz, CSP

Season 3 Co-Host

Jason Kunz, CSP

Jason Kunz is a keynote speaker, coach, and trusted advisor to organizations committed to reducing serious injury and fatality (SIF) risk, elevating leadership capability, and improving operational performance. He is the founder of the Kunz Company LLC, where he helps leaders move beyond traditional safety, towards modern, high-trust, learning-focused approaches that support safe, effective work. Jason was recently honored by the National Safety Council as a 2025 Rising Star of Safety, recognizing his contributions to advancing SIF prevention, modernizing safety leadership, and supporting worker engagement.

Before launching his speaking and advisory business, Jason spent more than a decade at the 3M Company in technical, sales, and leadership roles, partnering across global manufacturing, industrial, and commercial environments. Over the course of his career, he has delivered keynotes, workshops, and leadership sessions for more than 20,000 people across 36 countries.

Jason is a co-author and contributing architect of the new ASTM standards focused on SIF prevention, which define how organizations identify, prioritize, and reduce high-energy exposures. His work blends Human & Organizational Performance (H&OP), SIF prevention, operational leadership, and more than a decade of qualitative research and practitioner interviews.

His life journey, including early challenges, plus years of listening to workers and leaders across diverse environments, fuels his commitment to advancing the safety and health profession and equipping people to lead with clarity and confidence. Jason is also the co-founder of Best Christmas Ever, a nonprofit supporting families through community-driven generosity.

Jason is a CIH and CSP, but mostly grateful to have a J-O-B. He lives in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area with his wife, Malia, and their two-year-old son.
